About the job
Introduction
The Riviera Security Municipal Association (ASR) is a pioneering regional public safety organisation that embodies a new form of public action and brings together several emergency services (Police, Ambulances, SDIS, ORPC). In addition to these operational areas, there is the Management and Support Services.
Today, the ASR has 250 professionals and nearly 750 militia members (PCi on-call and volunteer firefighters) who combine daily commitment and a sense of service, quality and reliability of actions, proximity and a spirit of partnership, serving the population. The ASR is responsible for local security in the nine partner municipalities that make it up. It covers a population basin of nearly 85,000 inhabitants.
To meet tomorrow’s challenges and due to the upcoming retirement of the current holder, we are looking for our future Operations Manager, responsible for the availability, quality and safety of prehospital services throughout the territory of the member municipalities.
Under the authority of the ASR Director and in functional collaboration with the medical advisor, you ensure the operational management of the service in compliance with the cantonal legal framework and the operating licence.
Your missions
You lead the ambulance service and guarantee its operational availability in accordance with the DGS directives. You optimise the allocation of human and material resources according to activity variations and ensure coordination with the 144 Control Centre.
You manage the administrative, financial and human aspects of your entity: defining the organisation and processes, human resources management (recruitment, management, skills development), budget management, administrative optimisation, and implementation of safety and prevention measures.
You oversee quality and continuous improvement: in connection with the medical advisor, you supervise the delegation of medical acts, ensure the functioning of the quality assurance system and translate activity indicators into corrective actions.
You represent the service with cantonal, inter-service and regional partners and participate as a member of the management team in the strategic steering of the ASR.
Qualifications
- Higher education diploma in ambulance care (or equivalent or higher tertiary education deemed equivalent).
- Certified training in health management and team leadership, or deemed equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of significant experience in the prehospital field as well as 5 years in a supervisory role.
You master prehospital protocols and the delegation of medical acts, and have solid legal knowledge relevant to the role. Rigorous and organised, you excel in planning and managing complex situations.
A true leader, you know how to lead, motivate and evaluate a team in a demanding environment. Your interpersonal skills are strong: clear and assertive communication, active listening, and a natural aptitude for interprofessional and team work.
You demonstrate exemplary conduct and integrity, with impeccable professional ethics and strict respect for confidentiality. Resilient to stress, you keep your composure and make quick and relevant decisions in crisis situations.
Finally, endowed with a critical mind and real analytical ability, you are a source of proposals and an innovator to advance practices.
Mandatory conditions
- Swiss nationality or C residence permit
- Clean criminal record
- No registration in the debt collection register
- Driving licence for a category C1 vehicle
Benefits
A key position within a recognised institution, a professional and committed team, varied tasks combining field proximity and strategic management, as well as the opportunity to represent the service with cantonal and inter-cantonal partners. You will work within the ASR management team, with real autonomy in leading your entity.
