Position Information
Start date: 1 February 2027
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years
Work rate: 100%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Salary: CHF 67,568.- ( increasing each year )
Your Activities
- 50% of the work rate will be dedicated to completing a doctoral thesis in the field of cultural and social anthropology.
- 50% of the work rate will be devoted to supporting teaching and research tasks (teaching activities under the responsibility of a professor, activities related to the life of the affiliated unit).

Your Profile
We wish to recruit a person with the following qualities:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, or equivalent qualification,
- Very good knowledge of cultural and social anthropology,
- Fluency in French with very good knowledge of English. A good level of a language from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is desired,
- Interest in teamwork and experience in ethnographic research,
- Strong interest in the anthropology of reproduction, medical anthropology, gender anthropology, and migration, with a preferred research area in the MENA region.
