We are a state-of-the-art sheet metal processing company that has been producing in Ennenda in the Glarus region for over 70 years and employs more than 160 staff.

To strengthen our team in the tinsmithing department, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an initiative and committed individual as

HEAD of Tinsmithing, 100 %

Your CHALLENGES

• You lead the tinsmithing department both professionally and personally and continuously develop it further.
• You plan, control and monitor the production processes.
• You ensure the timely processing of production orders with regard to quality, punctuality and cost-effectiveness.
• You continuously optimise workflows and manufacturing processes.
• You ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• You promote and develop your employees.
• You ensure smooth collaboration with design, quality assurance and production management.

Your profile

Education:

• Completed technical vocational training in metal construction, tinsmithing or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in a production company
• Further training as a technician HF, master craftsman or comparable qualification advantageous
• Good German language skills, spoken and written

Professional skills:

• Confident mastery of common manufacturing processes such as drilling, reaming, thread cutting, pressing in, stud welding, clinching, sawing, straightening as well as other manual work in sheet metal and metal processing.
• Experience in handling machines and tools of tinsmithing
• Understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing documents

Leadership and social skills:

• Several years of leadership experience in a production company
• Assertiveness and decisiveness
• High communication and team skills
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Sense of responsibility and quality orientation
