Tasks
- In this role, you act as client and overall project manager for challenging, coordinated infrastructure projects primarily in the phases of tendering, detailed design, construction management, and commissioning. You are responsible for operational planning, management (including schedule and cost control), steering, and professional support of exciting projects.
- You conduct negotiations with internal and external administrative stakeholders and committees, coordinate the involved utilities/departments, and develop demanding problem solutions.
- You are responsible for tenders, evaluations, and awarding of engineering and construction services.
- You carry out legal procedures, perform sovereign tasks, and conduct public information events within the scope of the project work.
- You prepare decision-making bases for superior authorities and handle parliamentary matters.
Profile
- Degree in civil engineering (ETH/FH)
- Several years of professional experience in civil engineering and project management of demanding infrastructure projects in an urban environment (experience in specialised civil engineering or trenchless methods is an advantage), both in detailed design and in construction management or site supervision
- Assertiveness and conflict management skills, negotiation skills, entrepreneurial action as well as interest and understanding of politics and administration
- Fluent German in spoken and written form, strong communication skills, and enjoyment in negotiating and cooperating with different interest groups
- Interest in project implementation in terms of digital planning, construction, and operation; experience with BIM methodology is an advantage
