Job Description

Job Context

As part of the transformation of its information system dedicated to energy trading, our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support its business and IT teams in modernising its applications.

A strategic migration project to a new ETRM platform is underway to replace the legacy system with a modern and scalable solution.

You will act as an interface between business teams, developers and vendors to gather requirements, formalise functional specifications and support their implementation.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis and Functional Design

• Gather, analyse and formalise business requirements.
• Write functional specifications, features and User Stories.
• Understand trading processes and propose solutions adapted to operational needs.
• Participate in the configuration of the ETRM platform: settings, workflows, templates and pricing.
• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure proper implementation of solutions.

Testing and Migration

• Prepare and execute functional test plans.
• Verify the conformity of developments with specifications and user needs.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
• Contribute to the migration project to the new ETRM platform.
• Collaborate with other Business Analysts and IT teams on migration activities.

Project Management and Support

• Participate in managing application evolutions and backlog monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for business process improvement.
• Support users in adopting the solutions.
• Provide functional support and contribute to incident resolution.
• Document processes and share knowledge with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy sector or Commodity Trading.
• Experience with ETRM platforms (Orchestrade, Calypso, Murex, Endur…).
• Good understanding of energy markets and transaction life cycles.
• Knowledge of Front-to-Risk flows, physical and financial instruments and P&L calculations.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, writing functional specifications and User Stories.
• Experience in functional testing, UAT and ETRM migration projects.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of Back-Office and Finance processes is a plus.
• Higher education in computer science or engineering.
• Fluent in French and English.
