The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the Hospitality & Services department under the leadership of Mr Remo Brülisauer, Ms Tania Sturm is seeking a Patient Hospitality staff member.

Your tasks

• Friendly and professional service and advice to patients on the wards
• Responsibility for recording patient meals as well as ward and laundry orders
• Recording and posting services in the electronic ordering system
• Implementation of the internal hygiene and disposal concept as well as co-responsibility for cleanliness and order
• Forwarding information from patients and wards to the direct supervisor

Your profile

• You have successfully completed basic training in the field of gastronomy
• Ideally, you bring professional experience in upscale service and/or experience in a hospital environment
• You are confident in the German language, both spoken and written, and maintain a respectful and professional tone
• Open and service-oriented attitude
• Ability to handle criticism from patients
• Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends
• You are able to use digital work tools
