With around 80 employees, Max Pfister Baubüro AG manages and maintains approximately 1,400 of its own rental apartments as well as various commercial units in the St. Gallen region. As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for a professionally competent and reliable individual as

Head of Finance & Accounting

In this role, you will assume overall responsibility for finance and accounting. You will manage the general ledger, prepare the annual financial statements, and be responsible for liquidity planning, budgeting, and cost control. Furthermore, you will handle tax matters including VAT and withholding tax, the administration of mortgages, as well as the financial processing of construction and renovation projects. During absences, you will also deputise in tenant accounting.

As the central contact person for financial matters, you will ensure transparency and reliable decision-making bases, working closely with company management, property management, and external partners.

You have a commercial basic education and advanced training in finance and accounting (federal certificate/diploma, university of applied sciences or equivalent). You bring solid practical experience, are confident with financial statements, and enjoy a hands-on approach. Experience in the real estate sector and knowledge of Abacus are advantageous.

On a personal level, you impress with independence, accuracy, and a sense of responsibility. You are down-to-earth, honest, and appreciate the short communication paths and long-term orientation of a Swiss family business.
