Translator for the Italian Language
Registry Office | 60% | Chur (part-time home office possible)
We are looking for a translator for the Italian language for the Registry Office starting October 1, 2025, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- You work in the Italian translation service and are responsible for translating voting proposals, consultations, decisions of the government and the Grand Council, press releases, and other texts for the media and the cantonal official gazette, as well as texts from the Registry Office, departments, and divisions into Italian and German.
- You also translate the updates of the Italian legal book, advise the offices on language usage questions, check print templates, and occasionally participate in elections and votes.
This is what we expect from you
- This versatile task in an interesting field requires a personality with appropriate training (e.g., translation or interpreting school, university degree).
- We expect a flawless command of the Italian language and good knowledge of the German language. Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Experience in the translation field and understanding of legal issues are desired.
- The position also requires good IT skills; experience with the translation program SDL-Trados/Multiterm is advantageous.
- Flexibility, strong teamwork skills, resilience, and initiative complete your profile.
