Junior Accountant – Securities Accounting (80-100%)
As part of the development of its Global Assets+ activities, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to strengthen its team dedicated to the accounting, administrative and tax monitoring of institutional, professional and private clients.
Within a specialised team, you will participate in maintaining complete securities accounting for a varied clientele, including pension funds, investment foundations, private clients and trusts.
You will be involved in the entire accounting cycle related to securities portfolios, from the entry and control of transactions to valuation, closing and production of periodic reports.
This position involves regular interactions with clients, auditors and several internal departments of the Bank, notably the tax, operational and reporting teams.
YOUR MISSION:
In your role, you will notably be responsible for:
- Ensuring the complete securities accounting from A to Z for different types of clients
- Entering, controlling and reconciling transactions, positions, income, fees and cash movements
- Participating in portfolio valuation work and periodic closings
- Controlling the quality, consistency and completeness of accounting and financial data, including market prices, securities classifications, fees, income and tax information
- Preparing periodic reports required by clients, auditors or internal needs
- Ensuring administrative follow-up related to accounting activities and guaranteeing rigorous documentation
- Maintaining regular contact with auditors during audits and annual controls
- Collaborating closely with the tax department, notably for the recovery of Swiss and foreign taxes
- Participating in the production of reporting related to the federal stamp duty for Global Assets+ clients
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes, controls and accounting monitoring tools
- Participating, as needed, in operational optimisation, automation or digitalisation projects.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Commercial employee federal certificate (CFC), ideally complemented by experience in the banking, financial, accounting or fiduciary sector
- Additional training in accounting, finance or management is an asset
- Professional experience of at least 4 to 5 years in a banking, fiduciary, accounting or financial environment
- Good knowledge of accounting, ideally applied to securities portfolios
- Knowledge of Swiss GAAP RPC standards, particularly RPC 26, as well as IFRS and/or GAAP frameworks is an asset
- Strong interest in financial markets, financial instruments and securities transactions
- Knowledge of GP4 software is an asset
- Very good command of IT tools, especially Excel; knowledge of advanced functions, pivot tables or macros is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
- Rigor, precision, attention to detail and a taste for numbers
- Ability to perform recurring tasks reliably, consistently and methodically
- Good team spirit, customer service orientation, autonomy and flexibility
- Excellent personal organisation and ability to manage several activities simultaneously within deadlines
- Residence in Switzerland
