Tasks
Polymechanics specializing in aircraft maintenance are in demand professionals in various
fields of activity. The scope of work includes the inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft
and aircraft components.
You will work together with other specialists on the aircraft and in the workshops.
- 1st and 2nd year of apprenticeship in the SWISS TechOps workshop exempt from vocational school: You acquire a broad
foundation of knowledge and skills of the polymechanic. The focus is on
work techniques such as manual manufacturing, conventional and CNC-controlled manufacturing,
as well as the assembly of mechanical and pneumatic assemblies
- 3rd and 4th year of apprenticeship: Specialized training in aircraft maintenance at SWISS at
Zurich Kloten Airport
- 1 to 2 days per week: Theoretical training at the vocational school
- SWISS supports attending the vocational baccalaureate school (vocational maturity)
- You have the opportunity to obtain the aircraft mechanic license EASA Cat. A during the training

Requirements
- Completion of compulsory schooling level A or B with corresponding performance
- Aptitude test (to be completed during the application process)
- Trial apprenticeship as a polymechanic
- Manual dexterity
- Technical interest
- Enjoyment of the English language
- Reliability and sense of responsibility
- Teamwork skills and resilience
- Willingness to work shifts in the 3rd and 4th year of apprenticeship
Further training opportunities after completing the apprenticeship with the federal certificate of competence
- EASA B1 license
