The ZHdK, with around 2100 bachelor’s and master’s students, is one of the largest and most diverse art universities in Europe. The study and research areas include Art Education, Cultural Critique, Design, Film, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre and Transdisciplinarity. The Legal Service, as part of the Rectorate, is the contact point for all legal matters of the ZHdK.
We are looking for a

Your tasks
The Legal Service handles the legal transactions of the ZHdK, in particular legislation, legal advice, disputes, appeals and disciplinary proceedings, legal questions in personnel matters, contract management, coordination and editing of consultations, participation in projects, exploitation of rights, establishment of legal entities.
It provides services for all areas of the university and works closely with internal and external bodies. The legal fields particularly concern university, administrative, personnel, contract and intellectual property law.
Your profile
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a professional with work experience, preferably in administration or a law firm. You are accustomed to approaching even complex legal issues systematically and are willing to familiarise yourself with new legal areas. In addition, you have a strong affinity for the cultural sector as well as the education sector.
You hold a university degree in law (lic. iur. or master’s) – a practising certificate is an advantage. Furthermore, you have extensive knowledge of administrative and contract law – knowledge of university, IT and procurement law is desirable. Your working style is independent, reliable, pragmatic as well as solution- and dialogue-oriented. Your excellent editorial skills in German, very good English skills and good IT user skills complete your profile.
