To support our learners, we are looking for a flexible, patient, and reliable person by arrangement.
The St. Jakob Foundation in Zurich offers around 450 protected workplaces and day structures for people with disabilities. These are supported by 150 professionals. At the same time, the St. Jakob Foundation enables people with and without support needs to enter the professional world. Around 40 training places are available for this purpose. We are looking for a learning coach for our learners at the PrA and EBA levels, who are completing training in the bakery, carpentry, electronics, kitchen, office, facility management, or retail sectors.
What you bring:
- In training for a teaching diploma or studying BSc / MSc Applied Psychology or experience in remedial and support teaching or tutoring
- Very good manners and strong social skills
- Flexible, resilient, and communicative
- Highly independent
- Excellent oral and written German skills
- High social competence, empathy, and sensitivity
- Team player and ability to set boundaries
Together with the team, you will primarily support learners who need after-school assistance due to weak academic performance. Support usually takes place in a 1:1 setting. You have the freedom to design the learning sessions. Furthermore, you will also be involved in planning and conducting learner excursions, introduction days, and graduation ceremonies.
