The Cantonal Hospitals Frauenfeld & Münsterlingen belong to Spital Thurgau AG (STGAG), one of the largest and most successful hospital groups in Switzerland. Both locations have state-of-the-art infrastructure in the perioperative areas. The newly cross-site managed Institute for Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine provides anaesthesiological care for a wide range of operative and interventional specialties with around 20,000 anaesthesias annually across the two acute hospitals as well as the Venenklinik Bellevue in Kreuzlingen, which belongs to the thurmed group, thus playing a central role in perioperative medicine. The institute is also responsible for the two interdisciplinary intensive care units with a total of 22 treatment places, the Centre for Pain Medicine, as well as preclinical emergency and rescue medicine. The various specialist areas of the institute enjoy an excellent reputation as training centres for anaesthesiology (Cat. A2), intensive care medicine (Cat. A/B), pain medicine SSIPM, and preclinical emergency medicine (emergency physician) SGNOR.

Chief Physician for Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Institute Director and Member of the Hospital Management)
You will take on
- the personnel, organisational and economic overall responsibility for the cross-site institute, pain medicine and the rescue service
- together with the management team and in close cooperation with the nursing management, the strategic and professional development of the managed specialist areas
- ensuring a high quality level of anaesthesiological and intensive care provision
- commitment to strengthening interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration as well as a service-oriented and appreciative cooperation with the clinics
- representing the institute in internal and external specialist committees, towards official bodies and external partners
- active and sustainable commitment to ensuring the training and continuing education mandate as attractive training centres
You bring with you
- Swiss recognised specialist titles in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine (dual specialist)
- proven experience in preclinical emergency and rescue medicine as well as several years of clinical professional and leadership experience in a senior position
- habilitation desirable, further training in leadership/management/business administration
- proven leadership and social skills as well as a communicative, integrative, honest and responsible personality
- strong team spirit, enjoyment of interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration in clinical everyday life as well as participation in company-wide strategic projects
