Job description
Attached to the Vice-Rector in charge of Teaching, the Graduate Campus is a structure dedicated to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, whose missions are to provide information on the doctoral pathway, support doctoral training, strengthen the community of young researchers, and develop employability after academia. The Graduate Campus has obtained PgB funding "Promotion of scientific talent" for the implementation of several projects.
The post holder, within the framework of the PgB, has the main mission of contributing to the implementation of the "Scientific Talent" project by participating in its strategy, designing and managing activities, and supervising the collection and transfer of information between the various entities involved in the project. Part of their activities may be carried out in connection with another division, such as DIFE or CFCD.
They also contribute to supporting the Graduate Campus community.
Required title and skills
Basic education and professional experience required
- University Master’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Doctorate is an asset
Specific knowledge useful for the position
- Proven mastery of written and spoken French and English (English level C1)
- Proven skills in office software such as perfect command of Word, Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables), PowerPoint
- Experience with the conditions and challenges of doctoral and postdoctoral pathways in Swiss universities, particularly at the University of Geneva
- Knowledge of university structures
- Sense of rigour and precision
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences
- Interpersonal skills and ease in social contacts
