SN Energie AG has been harnessing the power of water in the Glarus Alps for over 90 years and reliably supplies its shareholder plants with electricity. Our core competencies include electricity production, electricity trading, energy data management, as well as other sales-oriented services for our partners and customers.

For operations at the Schwanden GL site and the maintenance of around 36 hydropower plants in Switzerland, we are looking for a technically versatile individual. As an all-rounder, you ideally bring experience in one or more areas such as electrical engineering, mechanics, or hydraulics and enjoy familiarising yourself with other specialised fields.

Operations & Maintenance Specialist

Main Responsibilities

• Independent planning and execution of maintenance and repair work on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components of our hydropower plants
• Responsible for the safe operation of the hydropower plants
• Assisting with the maintenance of our maintenance management tool
• Contributing to the further development of our plant documentation
• Analysing and resolving faults as well as documenting them and initiating measures

Requirements Profile

• Technical basic training in electrical engineering, electromechanics, mechanics, mechanical engineering, agricultural machinery technology, or a comparable qualification
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary tasks in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering
• Basic electrical engineering knowledge is an advantage; experience in electrical installations or operational maintenance is a plus
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty and flexible working hours
