About us
At Barmelweid, Lean thinking and methods are central: All efforts are focused on the patients. This includes standardised safety rounds, the patient board as well as levelling the workload on the wards through flows. Nursing in the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy is complemented by the method of primary nursing, nursing in the Department of Internal Medicine by the care managers.
Usually, patients stay at Barmelweid for 2 to 6 weeks. This gives our nursing staff time to engage deeply with the patients. You can expect a lively operation with interprofessional work that calls upon all the skills of a nurse.
Barmelweid employs over 750 staff. It is located at around 800 metres altitude on a clearing in the Aargau Jura and is nestled in a unique environment with a nature park.
