Your Tasks
You advise patients and their relatives during hospital treatment on personal, social, legal, and financial matters with the aim of supporting the recovery process. Together with patients, you develop situation-appropriate solutions. For this purpose, you clarify social circumstances, mediate material assistance, and plan an efficient hospital discharge. You work in an interdisciplinary context and use diverse contacts with external agencies such as social insurance, employers, authorities, and healthcare providers. You represent the goals and concerns of social work before an interdisciplinary professional audience. In addition, you deputize for the head of social services during their absence, take on partial leadership responsibilities in consultation with them, and support them in projects and committees.
Your Profile
You have a bachelor's degree in social work or an equivalent qualification. Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in an acute hospital or healthcare setting. You have already gained leadership experience and possibly further training in leadership and management. In the dynamic hospital environment, you remain goal-oriented and keep an overview. You can think and act process-oriented. As a team-oriented, communicative, and resilient person, you possess negotiation skills. In addition, you are proficient in using the MS Office suite.
