For our client, an independent, non-profit organisation based in and strongly focused on the Bern area, we are looking for a responsible and experienced payroll specialist for the HR Services Manager. The company offers professional services for a demanding clientele and is characterised by a dynamic environment, high quality standards and a modern corporate culture. For the newly launched new working and team form, we are seeking a committed individual to strengthen the team and consolidate and further develop the processes and structures, as:

Your Tasks
- Leading and further developing a payroll team of five to six people – with the aim of expanding expertise, personal responsibility and good collaboration
- Overall responsibility for payroll and time management of around 2,200 employees – including year-end tasks, payroll accounting and declarations as well as support during audits and controls
- Responsibility for Abacus Payroll and Time Management and the ongoing development of systems and processes
- Not only managing the payroll department but also developing it further: simplifying processes, establishing standards and ensuring quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness with meaningful KPIs
- Optimising time management and ensuring that working hours, absences and holidays are processed correctly and reliably
- Participation in or leadership of payroll projects – from system adjustments to process optimisations to improving the interface between Abacus Payroll and Time Management
- Contact person for managers and HR on complex questions regarding salary, social security, working hours and payroll
Your Profile
- At least 5-8 years of experience in payroll, leadership experience is a must
- Proficient in Swiss payroll accounting; withholding tax, social security and labour law
- Experience with team organisation and structural and process improvements, IT affinity
- High organisational skills, a strong commitment to quality and a strong role model are desired
- Native German speaker or level (C1 with diploma), any additional language is an advantage
