The Nursing Directorate of the Regional Hospital of Lugano is looking for a
Nurse Responsible for Nursing Research (50%)
The person responsible promotes the development of the profession and the quality of nursing care through the advancement of knowledge, innovation, and the design and management of research projects within their professional field.
Profile:
- designs and conducts nursing research studies relevant to their site, collaborating with the nursing manager, clinical teams and/or the Hospital Directorate;
- collaborates with the head of the EOC Nursing Research Competence Centre and the research team in developing cross-cutting projects;
- maintains professional relationships and exchanges with other interprofessional research groups;
- seeks and promotes specific funding, participating in grants or using other sources, respecting ethical principles;
- promotes the dissemination of research results through various channels: meetings, scientific publications, participation in congresses and organisation of local conferences;
- supports clinical colleagues in scientific publication activities and periodically collects data on these activities for the preparation of annual reports;
- promotes and consolidates the culture of nursing research, Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and clinical reasoning in local operational realities, offering advice and training to colleagues on these topics;
- maintains contacts or is a member of national and international professional associations, actively contributing to the development of the profession
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor SUPSI in nursing and/or SSSCI diploma (or equivalent recognised qualification if obtained abroad);
- Master of Science in nursing (or willingness to obtain it in the short term);
- PhD with experience and publications in nursing research (or willingness to obtain it in the future).
Professional experience
- at least 3 years of work experience in the Swiss nursing field;
- knowledge of the EOC context and the Swiss healthcare system;
- strong interest in the development of the nursing profession and its disciplinary knowledge.
Professional skills and attitudes
- predisposition for teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration;
- communication skills and leadership ability;
- constant attention to professional updating and support for training within the service;
- orientation towards continuous improvement;
- knowledge of computer programmes supporting research.
Languages
- proficiency in Italian and English;
- knowledge of other national languages will be considered an advantage.
