Medical Secretary for the Paediatric Migrant Consultation
To complete our team at the paediatric consultation dedicated to migrants at the children’s hospital, we are looking for a medical secretary, working at 80% capacity, from 13 September to 31 December 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
Within the Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME), the paediatrics service offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for children aged 0 to 18 years. It maintains close links with other services in the department such as neonatology, paediatric surgery, adolescent medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics.
Mission
- You ensure the production, management and circulation of medical documents and information internally and externally.
- You efficiently manage the organisation and scheduling of the unit’s consultations.
- You provide full administrative support to the unit’s team.
- You actively contribute to the quality, development and continuous improvement of the unit’s services.
Profile
- You hold a qualification as a medical secretary and/or a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee or an equivalent title.
- You have an excellent command of the French language and spelling.
- You demonstrate rigour and have a sense of organisation and priorities.
- You see yourself as a flexible, empathetic, discreet, autonomous person with a spirit of mutual support.
- You already have at least 2 years’ professional experience in a hospital environment, ideally within the migrant health network (RESAMI).
- You can demonstrate good proficiency in common IT tools (MS Office) and, ideally, CHUV’s IT tools.
