The Geneva Foundation for Socio-Cultural Animation is a partnership institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, socio-cultural and associative field actions carried out by centres and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general aim of preventing social exclusion.
Announcement of a 60% socio-cultural animator position to ensure the animation and supervision of activities for children within the framework of a Surville-Tivoli socio-cultural animation scheme.
Job Description
- Participate in the development of an experimental socio-cultural animation scheme;
- Take responsibility for free reception for children;
- Propose and supervise activities responding to the needs of families, children and residents of the neighbourhood;
- Participate in the development of the activity programme;
- Supervise the monitors;
- Assume field and management tasks related to the activities.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university qualification;
- Experience and skills to work with children in the context of free reception and outings;
- Ability to use common computer software;
- Initiative, creativity, listening skills, sense of responsibility;
- Good experience in organisation and planning;
- Ability to work in different locations and outdoors;
- Good knowledge of the FASe’s functioning.
Additional Information
- Open to flexible hours (activities at the end of the day and on Saturdays)
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15
- The fixed-term contract will be established for the maximum duration
- Position to be filled: to be agreed
