Museum Rietberg
We are looking for a committed and motivated professional to start immediately or by arrangement, who will ensure the proper execution of cleaning tasks at Museum Rietberg together with the cleaning team. In addition, you are responsible for compliance with and implementation of hygiene, safety, and occupational health regulations.
Tasks
- You organise and coordinate the daily cleaning tasks and actively participate in the cleaning during daily operations.
- You take on the professional and personnel management of the cleaning team and plan work assignments, holidays, and absences.
- You ensure a high cleaning quality and place particular emphasis on careful cleaning around art objects, exhibition setups, and museum facilities.
- You are responsible for material management in the cleaning area (orders, stock management, consumption control) as well as the organisation of cleaning textiles (washing, drying, provision).
- You plan and carry out periodic special cleanings in ancillary rooms, storage areas, technical zones, and sensitive areas and support cleaning tasks during exhibition changes or events.
Profile
- Completed vocational training as a building cleaner EFZ or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in cleaning, ideally in a museum or public environment
- Very good knowledge of common cleaning techniques, agents, and machines
- Experience in team leadership; leadership training is an advantage
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
