Freight Forwarder, LCL Gateway Sea Freight (m/f/d)

In a varied environment, you will take responsibility for the operational control of transports and work closely with our branches, partners and carriers.

• Independent control, organisation and monitoring of transport processing from order entry to billing
• Creation and processing of relevant transport and freight documents as well as ensuring proper invoicing
• Ongoing maintenance and updating of shipment and status information according to internal guidelines
• Proactive communication and close cooperation with DSV branches, carriers and subcontractors
• Monitoring of transit times as well as early identification and handling of deviations
• Active information of all involved stakeholders in case of delays, irregularities or special incidents
• Professional handling of complaints and development of sustainable solutions
• Carrying out order calculation and ensuring correct and timely billing
• Responsibility for closing consolidations and providing relevant preliminary information to the responsible branches
• Processing ad-hoc requests and preparing suitable offers for internal customers and branches
• Ensuring high quality standards by adhering to defined processes, SOPs, IOPs and working instructions
• Continuous exchange with internal interfaces to optimise processes and service quality 

• You have completed commercial training, ideally as a freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d) or in the field of freight forwarding and logistics services
• You bring at least 2 years of professional experience in sea freight forwarding
• Openness and enjoyment in international dealings with customers and colleagues characterise you
• Good German and English skills are a matter of course for you
• You have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Resilience, independence and a reliable working style are among your strengths
• Your actions are always customer-oriented and you pursue cost awareness
• Confident handling of MS Office and ideally experience in freight and customs clearance systems (e.g. CargoWise One)
