Finance & Automation Consultant (100%)
About us
Renold & Partner is a specialised consulting boutique for energy supply companies in Switzerland. We combine expertise in finance and accounting with industry knowledge, process understanding, and regulatory know-how. As an owner-managed consulting boutique with a two-person team, we are firmly established in the Swiss energy sector.
We understand financial processes as data-driven and tool-supported. We develop the necessary tools ourselves: data models for regulation, budgeting, and reporting. We accompany our clients from analysis to implementation or enable them to operate the processes independently with our tools.
Your role
As a consultant, you automate and optimise our clients' financial processes, from regulatory closing through budgeting and reporting to the ERP system. You work with our own tool landscape in Excel, further develop it professionally, and gradually take on responsibility for projects and mandates.
Your tasks include:
- Coordination and handling of regulatory processes, including post- and tariff calculation
- Automation and optimisation of financial, closing, and budgeting processes
- Preparation, plausibility checks, and analysis of financial, cost, and operational data
- Implementation and support of our financial management solution (planning & controlling)
- Consulting management and financial officers
- Further development of our Excel tool landscape (data modelling, formulas, Power Query)
- Analysis and optimisation of ERP solutions, especially Abacus
You combine financial logic, processes, data, and systems into practical solutions.
Your profile
- Passion for automation and Excel development: You enjoy automating financial and business processes and largely eliminating manual steps. You use Excel not only as a user but also to develop your own models and tools. Data modelling, formulas, smart tables, and Power Query interest you or are already among your strengths.
- Finance and accounting: Education with a focus on accounting, for example, a university of applied sciences degree, professional certificate, fiduciary or auditing qualification, as well as professional experience in accounting or a comparable financial area. You have sound knowledge of booking logic and understand the connection between individual bookings and the financial statements.
- Entrepreneurial drive: You bring the willingness to actively contribute in a small team and help shape the company. With us, a single person can make a big impact, and convincing ideas are implemented directly.
Knowledge of the energy sector is not required. We expect interest in the electricity industry and the willingness to familiarise yourself with its regulation.
Advantages
- Experience with the preparation or analysis of annual financial statements
- Knowledge of cost accounting, calculation, or tariffing, ideally in the energy context
- Experience with ERP systems (especially Abacus) as well as planning or reporting solutions
- Knowledge of the Swiss energy sector or consulting Swiss SMEs
Personal qualities
- Analytical, structured thinking and the ability to abstract connections
- Independent working style with high initiative
- Enjoyment of direct customer contact
- Flexibility in dealing with different customers, systems, and tasks
- Willingness to travel for customer assignments in German-speaking Switzerland
