The Swiss Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (sbv) is the largest national self-help organisation for blind and visually impaired people. We support those affected in leading an independent life. Work Educator for our day-structure offer in Bern 60% (m/f/d)
With your creative and craft skills, you support the participants in their individual abilities and actively promote their own initiative. You can expect regular working hours without evening or weekend duties.
Your tasks
- You work directly with the participants in the form of creative and craft activities, conversations and animations
- You independently take responsibility for workshop areas with the aim of promoting the self-determined actions of our blind and visually impaired clients
- You independently handle administrative tasks
- You actively contribute to the team and participate in the further development of the operation
- You assist in organising and conducting events as well as market visits and further develop these
Your profile
- Your training as a work educator or social pedagogue is complemented by basic craft training and enjoyment of cooking
- You gladly take responsibility, are a team player and work solution-oriented
- You bring creative versatility, resilience and good PC skills
- In addition, you bring joy and humour – we are convinced that this is a good basis for fulfilling work.
- You have a category B driving licence and ideally your own car
