The City of Aarau, as a future-oriented employer, relies on committed and competent employees. For the Social Services Aarau, we are looking for an experienced and motivated personality to lead the Child and Adult Protection department – responsible for the City of Aarau as well as the municipalities of Erlinsbach AG and Küttigen, and from April 2026 also for Unterentfelden AG.

Your tasks – responsible and versatile

Professional and personnel management of an interdisciplinary team with nine professional guardians and eight administrative staff
Responsibility for the professional implementation of child and adult protection measures in close cooperation with the specialists responsible for administration and guardianship
Further development of methodological, structural, and organizational processes in the department
Participation in projects and expert committees

Your profile – professionally strong, personally convincing

Degree from a university of applied sciences for social work or equivalent qualification
CAS mandate management in child and adult protection
Leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams
Extensive practical experience in child and adult protection
Resilient, flexible, and creative personality with humor and a clearly recognizable leadership style
Enjoyment in negotiating and exchanging with various stakeholders
