Project Manager Location Promotion Resilience and Security 80 - 100%At the Office for Economy (AWI), we are committed to an attractive, leading and future-oriented Canton of Zurich. Our core services aim to create optimal economic framework conditions while implementing applicable law in accordance with the legislator's intent.
The Location Promotion division strengthens the economic, research and innovation location Zurich. We network actors from business, science and politics, accompany company settlements and set important impulses for sustainable location development.
In the context of increasing hybrid threats, you will help build the competence area "Resilience and Security" within Location Promotion and strengthen the innovation and research power of the Canton of Zurich. With considerable scope for design, you will develop offers and measures in the security policy area for business and society. The focus is on knowledge and technology transfer between universities and companies in the field of dual-use and security technologies, strengthening cyber and information security of SMEs, as well as raising awareness of current security-relevant challenges and their impact on the location.
For this versatile task, we are looking for an experienced personality in the field of resilience and security technologies with foresight, coordination skills and a strong implementation orientation, to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your main tasks:
- Building the competence area "Resilience and Security" in Location Promotion
- Developing and implementing concrete measures to strengthen the resilience of business and society
- Coordinating cooperation with the Security Directorate and other directorates as well as with internal and external partner organisations
- Building and further developing the "Resilience and Security" ecosystem in the Canton of Zurich
- Preparing and contributing to position papers and political matters and supporting Location Promotion in its core tasks
Your profile:
- Master’s degree or equivalent education, preferably in political science, international relations, security studies, natural or engineering sciences, economics or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience ideally related to resilience, security or cyber topics
- Strong political understanding and the ability to observe, classify and assess geopolitical developments regarding their relevance for the economic location Canton of Zurich
- Solid project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects from conception to successful completion
- Experienced in politically influenced situations, confident appearance and appropriate communication at different levels
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German and English
