About the job
Do you enjoy interdisciplinary outreach work and child and adolescent psychotherapeutic counselling for psychosocial institutions?
The University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel are one of the leading psychiatric clinics in Switzerland. Our goal is the continuous improvement of the treatment of our patients to achieve their best possible quality of life. The close networking of patient care, teaching and translational research guarantees high quality and orientation towards evidence-based concepts.
The Clinic for Children and Adolescents (UPKKJ) is part of UPK Basel, fulfilling the care mandate for the canton of Basel-Stadt in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The tasks of UPKKJ include, in addition to university research and teaching, psychiatric and psychological diagnostics as well as evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents, taking into account their family and social environment.
The Centre for Liaison and Outreach Services of the UPKKJ is based on the principle of close interdisciplinary collaboration with psychosocial and socio-educational institutions (residential groups, transitional residential groups, etc.). It enables many children and adolescents to receive appropriate psychiatric care and timely psychiatric-psychological diagnostics in addition to the services offered by the respective institution.
