Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for you as Workshop Manager Tunnel Construction for the workshop in the Civil Engineering ETS Region North division. Your place of employment will be Buchrain.
Your responsibilities
- Operational management of the tunnel construction workshop including personnel responsibility (mechanics, apprentices, external fitters)
- Ensuring timely maintenance, servicing and repair of tunnel construction machines and equipment
- Prioritising workshop orders in close coordination with project management and deployment planning
- Supporting fault diagnosis and complex repair cases
- Organising materials, spare parts and consumables (including inventory management)
- Planning and implementing optimisations in machine availability and workshop processes
- Participating in investments, new acquisitions and decommissioning of machines and equipment
- Monitoring compliance with occupational safety and environmental protection regulations
- Maintaining machine and maintenance documentation (digital/analogue)
Why you will succeed
- Completed apprenticeship as a construction machinery or agricultural machinery mechanic with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the industry
- Knowledge in tunnel construction is an advantage
- Possession of a specialist certificate as workshop manager is positively regarded
- Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style, as well as very good organisational skills
- Experience in managing employees is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently, high motivation and commitment, occasional site visits required
- Sense of responsibility regarding occupational safety
