For the TORMAX division, we are seeking an experienced and analytically minded individual in Research and Development as
Engineer Functional Safety (m/f)
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible within product development for the certification of automatic door systems as well as for the functional safety of hardware and firmware.
Your tasks
- Providing documentation with the support of development for the certification of hardware and software at external certification bodies
- Analysis and documentation of system interrelations taking functional safety into account
- Moderation of risk analyses (e.g. using FMEA) with employees from R&D
- Supporting firmware, electronics and mechanics development during certification
Your qualifications
- University degree (ETH/TU/FH) specialising in electronics or software engineering
- Experience in the certification of hardware and software, experience with EN ISO 13849 and EN 61508 is an advantage
- Experience in dealing with external certification bodies
- Experience in firmware and/or electronics development considering functional safety is an advantage
- Conceptual and analytical thinking at system level
- Willingness to familiarise yourself with the tasks
- Understanding of technical and normative contexts
- Independent, reliable, structured and goal-oriented working style
- Good German and English skills, spoken and written
