Your Area of Responsibility

• Supervising and further developing the manufacturing processes for a wide range of fibre optic cables used worldwide
• Accompanying and documenting new developments up to series maturity in an agile development team
• Evaluating new raw materials within the scope of product developments
• Optimising existing manufacturing processes, workflows, plant configurations and workplaces in collaboration with production
• Creating and continuously expanding process documentation according to EN9100
• Responsible for designing, procuring and maintaining extrusion tools, spray heads and extruders

Your Profile

• Certified plastics technologist, ideally with a focus on extrusion
• Further training as a plastics technician HF is an advantage
• Sound knowledge in length production with mono- and co-extrusion, material behaviour of thermoplastics (e.g. HFFR-PE, PBT, TPU), their fault analysis as well as in quality management
• Very good and quick comprehension regarding plant operation, extrusion processes and optical fibre technology
• Analytical thinking and structured working method, proactive and resilient
• Confident handling of digital tools (process, product and project documentation)
• Fluent English and German skills, both spoken and written
