The opportunity
Join our engineering excellence center team developing innovative railway traction transformers solutions. As FEM Specialist, you will become expert for structural simulations and vibration analysis of products operating in demanding railway environments. Beyond FEM expertise, you will own key transformer accessory technologies throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, design teams, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing to ensure reliable, compliant and competitive accessory solutions. You will support projects from concept development through qualification, testing, and industrialization. You will influence product reliability, safety, maintainability, and performance overall lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to shape FEM methodologies, drive component development, and contribute to future traction transformer technologies. You will combine advanced numerical simulations with practical engineering, testing, and supplier collaboration.

Perform FEM simulations for railway applications and load cases

Deliver accurate FEM reports supporting engineering decisions

Support laboratory testing activities and validation campaigns

Own selected traction transformer accessories throughout their lifecycle

Define technical specifications and qualification requirements

Your background

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of FEM engineering experience

Strong expertise with ANSYS Structural or equivalent software

Experience in component qualification and validation activities

Experience working with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
