Your tasks
In the various departments, you will learn different working techniques and be able to apply them in daily assistance in the laboratory. In doing so, you will get to know the laboratories of research and development, analytics, quality control, and customer service. Furthermore, you will learn and refine the basics of chemistry in the company’s own teaching laboratory to be optimally prepared for your practical exams. When analysing samples, you use methods of spectroscopy and chromatography to determine the composition. For this, you work with modern computer-assisted measuring devices. You carry out syntheses according to instructions and use various apparatuses for this. Furthermore, clean documentation is necessary to support you in your work.
You attend vocational school 1.5 days per week during the three-year apprenticeship.

- Secondary school or intermediate school leaving certificate with 10th school year
- Good performance in mathematics, science, and English
- Interest in research and experimenting
- Interest in handling electronic devices and complex apparatuses
