The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory with a total of 1,000 beds. The organization effectively combines a local approach and an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and nearby hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested. Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The following position is aimed at candidates who wish to submit an unsolicited application. To complete our EOC Dermatology team, with main activities at the Bellinzona (OSG) and/or Mendrisio (OBV) sites, we are looking for a Head Physician
Head Physician of Dermatology (from 50% to 100%)
Profile:
The person we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy, as well as motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration.
They believe, as we do, in the importance of putting the patient and their family at the center of all our attention.
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in medicine and surgery; for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition/registration by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg is mandatory before starting the activity.
- Specialist title in Dermatology and Venereology obtained or in the process of being obtained (for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg is mandatory before starting the activity)
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg before starting the activity. Good knowledge of another national language besides Italian (French, German) and possibly English is also desirable but not essential.
- Certificate of free practice in the Canton of Ticino obtained before starting the activity
- Clinical experience in Dermatology
- Experience in training young colleagues
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Interest in research and teaching
