Social Worker with Focus on Assessments and Post-Separation Conflicts in Child Protection 60%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counselling is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the centre of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment. As an employee focusing on child welfare assessments, you clarify the living conditions of families in a four-eyes principle, make an assessment of the child’s welfare and report to the KESB. In the area of post-separation conflicts, you work according to internal standards and also conduct mandated counselling on behalf of the KESB and the district court. You can rely on established and scientifically supported professional standards and highly skilled support from your superiors.

Social Worker 60%
Your tasks:
- Conducting assessments in child protection on behalf of the KESB and the district court
- Cooperation with KESB, family systems, schools as well as other specialist agencies and institutions
- Managing civil law child protection measures, primarily in the area of post-separation conflicts
- Clarifying concerns and advising mothers, fathers, children and young people
- Coordinating and initiating supportive measures
Your profile:
- Degree in Social Work (at Bachelor level)
- Experience in child and youth welfare
- Further training in child protection is an advantage
- Networked thinking and acting, high independence and resilience
- Enjoyment in taking responsibility, openness and fun in teamwork
