i2L Research is a leading provider of scientific services and technical support to the pest control & agrochemical industry. We are excited to advertise for the position of a Study Director to join our small team of research scientists in Cardiff.

The role will involve:
Undertaking a broad range of scientific trials, in order to evaluate the efficacy of public health and agrochemical pest control products. Ideally, we want to hear from candidates with some previous entomological & practical laboratory experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest to pursue a career in insect research
Your Responsibilities:
- Directing research efficacy trials relating to pest control products
- Data analysis, statistics and interpretation
- Report writing and communication with clients
- Developing and maintaining key client relationships
- Maintaining good study records
- Following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & study protocols / study plans.
- Operating within a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) framework
- Supporting the set up and running of other biological trials around the facility
- Laboratory duties as required
Your Profile:
- A degree in a relevant scientific field (Biology, Life sciences or related field)
- Previous experience working with insects within a laboratory setting is desirable
- Good level of computer literacy is expected (Excel, MS packages)
- Effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to self-manage
- Knowledge of the Biocidal PT18/19 guidelines and GLP would be advantageous
- Motivated individual with the ability to self-manage
- Full UK driving license is preferred but not essential
Additional Information:
Place of work: i2L Research, Unit 9-12 Capital Business Park, Cardiff CF3 2PX
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week (some flexible working is permitted)
Duration: Permanent, subject to a 3-month Probation period
This position does not allow for remote working.
