About 450 employees produce reinforcing steel from scrap steel in Gerlafingen. Stahl Gerlafingen AG is the largest recycling company in Switzerland. The sales markets for the products are in Switzerland and the European Union

Permanent position in day shift

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Receipt of scrap, checking quantity and quality for geometry, metallurgy, ecology and safety 
• Scheduling incoming trucks depending on the type of scrap and the melting program
  
• Stacking the different types of scrap
  
• Sorting out non-compliant scrap parts 
  
• Operating construction machinery, pneumatic loader, forklift and excavator
• Parking service on all construction machinery in the scrap yard
  
• Administrative tasks as well as filing documents
• Recording complaints
• Cleaning of railway wagons 
  

Skills

• EFZ completed apprenticeship (e.g. logistician, recycler)
  
• Experience as a construction machinery operator is mandatory (excavator, pneumatic loader and forklift)
  
• Suva-recognized forklift license
  
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  (Excel, Word)
  
• Very good German skills, English and French skills B1, basic Italian skills are an advantage
