With our initiative AI for Operational Excellence, we aim to deploy AI specifically where it makes our daily work simpler, more efficient, and more effective. Our focus is on our support processes, for example in HR, Finance, GRC, Marketing & Communications, Internal IT, and Logistics.
For this, we are looking for a personality who combines business understanding with technical implementation skills. Together with our specialist teams, you identify concrete improvement potentials, develop AI solutions from them, and bring these from prototype to productive use together with our IT specialists.
You are neither a classic Data Scientist nor a pure Software Engineer. You operate at the interface between the business area, AI, and technology, ensuring that good ideas become solutions with measurable benefits.

• close collaboration with our specialist teams to understand processes and identify concrete application possibilities for AI
• translating business challenges into actionable AI use cases and accompanying them from prototype through pilot to productive solution
• developing and configuring AI-based solutions, copilots, and agents as well as connecting them with existing data, applications, and processes
• the sensible integration of solutions into our system, data, and security landscape together with the specialists from Internal IT and Enterprise Architecture
• the pragmatic assessment of the appropriate implementation path: Buy, Configure or Build
• providing and structuring the necessary data for the respective use case
• developing reusable components, patterns, and best practices so that successful approaches can be used beyond individual use cases
• actively sharing your knowledge and enabling your colleagues to increasingly use AI independently and responsibly

• a background in computer science, business informatics, or data science, or comparable practical experience
• your experience in implementing AI or GenAI solutions and your understanding of what lies between a convincing prototype and a productive solution
• your familiarity with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, APIs, and data integration
• your knowledge of the Microsoft AI ecosystem, for example in Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, or Microsoft Fabric; knowledge of Abacus ERP and BI solutions is a plus
• your development skills, for example with Python, APIs, or comparable technologies, and your pragmatic approach to existing solutions
• your ability to quickly understand new business processes and communicate technical possibilities understandably to non-technicians
• your enthusiasm for experimenting, quickly building prototypes, and further developing functional approaches into robust solutions
