Senior Laboratory Technician – Quality Control - (M/F/N)

Job Purpose / Reason for the Position:

The senior laboratory technician must be an expert in their field and/or for a specific technique, while performing laboratory work independently. He/She will need to promote innovation, ensure technological monitoring, and contribute to its implementation. Acting as a technical reference and participating in laboratory equipment investment projects is an integral part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Manage a piece of equipment or a set of equipment (maintenance, repair, training on use, and/or investment proposals within projects).
• Ensure the development and implementation of new technologies, organic synthesis pathways, or laboratory techniques in the laboratory.
• Harmonize working methods across the different sectors of the department.
• Conscientiously execute tasks requiring specific knowledge and be a visible expert in their field.
• Know how to autonomously search for necessary information (e.g., in literature or from specialists) to accomplish their tasks.
• Contribute to the technical development of colleagues.
• Update and develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and user manuals.

• CFC in chemistry laboratory technician or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of hygiene, safety, environment, and quality rules in the laboratory.
• Spoken and written English is an asset
• Solid experience in a laboratory technician role
• Technical expertise in one or more fields such as organic synthesis or analytical chemistry
• Proficiency in written and oral communication
