Nurse in charge of the Infection Prevention and Control Unit (IPCU) at 80-100%

The Infection Prevention and Control Unit (IPCU) contributes to the prevention of infectious risks and the safety of patients and professionals within the RHNe. It notably carries out surveillance, advisory, expert, and training missions and supports teams in implementing best practices in infection prevention and control.

Your missions

• Ensure the management, organisation, and coordination of IPCU activities
• Supervise, support, and unite a team of 2 collaborators
• Lead the implementation and development of institutional infection prevention and control strategies
• Develop a culture of prevention and actively contribute to institutional projects related to quality and safety of care
• Guarantee epidemiological surveillance activities of healthcare-associated infections and contribute to data analysis and definition of corrective measures
• Provide expertise and support to medical and nursing teams and various institutional partners in managing infectious risk
• Participate in the development, updating, and dissemination of recommendations, procedures, and best practices in infection prevention
• Supervise and develop training, teaching, and awareness activities for professionals
• Participate in managing epidemic situations and coordinate necessary actions in collaboration with various partners
• Ensure scientific and regulatory monitoring in the field of infection prevention and control

Your profile

• Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
• Authorisation to practise a health profession in the canton of Neuchâtel
• Recognised training in Infection Prevention and Control (EPIAS), or equivalent
• Training in frontline management or management training, or willingness to undertake such training
• Experience in team leadership is an asset
