About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatient and 90,000 outpatient patients. Additionally, we are an important training centre in the canton.
For the cardiology outpatient clinic at the Cantonal Hospital Schaffhausen, we are looking for a Medical Practice Assistant starting 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, with a workload of 50%.
The position is limited until 31 May 2027.

What Awaits You
- Performing various cardiological examinations of outpatient and inpatient patients: ECGs, ergometries, blood sampling, 24-hour to 72-hour ECGs, 24-hour blood pressure measurements, pacemaker checks, assistance with transoesophageal echocardiography, assistance with loop recorder implantations
- Administrative tasks such as Outlook correspondence, appointment scheduling and call-up management
- Collaboration in a motivated, committed and friendly team
What You Bring to Us
- You have completed training as a medical practice assistant or completed training as a health professional EFZ
- You have a friendly, customer-oriented and empathetic personality and enjoy working in a team
- You have sound knowledge of medical terminology
- You possess good organisational and communication skills as well as an independent and reliable working style and adapt quickly and easily to new structures
