About the job

• Develop the content of the new study specialisation " Special Crops with a Focus on Vegetables " and implement it for the autumn semester 2027/28
• Convey central content of the specialisation as well as selected courses in the Master’s programme through your own teaching activities
• Design, organise and competently supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
• Build and further develop your own research and service activities by acquiring third-party funding
• Actively build and maintain a strong network in the industry and research

• Completed university education in plant sciences, preferably with a doctorate
• A high degree of initiative, responsibility, teamwork skills and willingness to work interdisciplinarily
• Several years of professional experience in vegetable cultivation outside the academic sector, an established network in practice, industry, research and administration, as well as several years of experience with application-oriented research
• Ideally qualification in university teaching and the associated tasks
• Native German or French speaker, with good knowledge of the other language
