This is an exciting opportunity at Arxada looking for a motivated Intern in Process Technology to join our R&D department based in Visp, Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic specialty chemicals company located in the heart of the Swiss Alps (Canton of Valais).

In this role, you will work on real-world challenges in collaboration with experienced engineers and chemists.

You will expand your practical knowledge and develop technical skills while contributing to innovative projects in process development and materials science.

Your Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Dive into hands-on process simulations and lab-scale experiments – or combine both to explore real industrial challenges

• Design, plan, and execute chemical experiments side-by-side with our senior engineers and chemists, working on cutting-edge technologies in specialty chemicals

• Analyze and interpret data to uncover process insights, troubleshoot technical issues, and support decision-making

• Contribute to the development of new chemical processes, with a special focus on material compatibility and corrosion behavior in demanding environments

• Collaborate across disciplines in a vibrant R&D setting, gaining exposure to real projects and innovative problem-solving

Your Profile – What You Bring:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field

• A structured, detail-oriented, and reliable work style – you stay focused and organized even when things get complex

• A proactive mindset with curiosity, flexibility, and a strong desire to learn and grow

• Solid skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – you know how to organize and present your work clearly

• A genuine interest in materials and corrosion science is a plus

• Fluent English skills (spoken and written); German is an advantage but not required
