Head of Parts Manufacturing (m/f/d | 80 - 100%)
At the headquarters of our group in Frick, we are looking for a Head of Parts Manufacturing. This is where the complex parts, special customisations and partly prototypes for our web machines are produced. In addition to in-house manufacturing, there are also advisory tasks for purchasing and quality assurance. Furthermore, there is direct contact with other manufacturing sites in Italy, India and China.
Responsibilities:
- Leading 25 employees for various manufacturing processes including NC programming and fixture construction
- Optimal planning of production processes
- Organisation of personnel deployment with 2-shift operation
- Procurement and maintenance of machines, fixtures and tools
- Leading projects within own area, e.g. layout planning
- Participation in future projects with the COO of the group and representatives of the global supply chain team
- Planning investments and preparing budgets and forecasts for parts manufacturing
- Planning training and further education for team members and partly implementing on-the-job
- Advising purchasing on mechanical matters and assessing incorrectly delivered mechanical parts
Requirements:
- Technical basic training (polymechanic) with further education in process technology as well as business administration at HF or FH level
- Several years of leadership experience in the field of machining and forming manufacturing
- Practical application of lean manufacturing or process optimisation
- Comprehensive process knowledge in mechanical production
- Good knowledge in work preparation and handling of ERP and CAM systems
- Strategic thinking, high initiative and willingness to shape
- Teamwork, clear communication that promotes mutual feedback and good collaboration. Creating a trusting, well-structured working environment
- Analytical skills and result orientation
- Assertiveness but also flexibility to assert oneself in a dynamic environment
- Very good German and good English skills (at least B2); additional Italian skills would be helpful
