The Christoph Merian Foundation promotes social cohesion, cultural diversity, and the careful handling of nature in the city and region of Basel.
To strengthen our team in the Nature Department, we are looking for a committed individual to start immediately or by arrangement as
Project Manager Nature (60–80 %), limited to five years
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Processing and assessing funding applications from third parties in the field of nature
- Drafting funding proposals and representing them in the funding working group as well as to management and the foundation commission
- Drafting funding agreements
- Accompanying, controlling, and evaluating approved funding projects during their implementation
- Administrative tasks in funding management
- Development, management, and implementation of CMS-owned projects in the field of nature
- Maintaining and further developing networks with specialist offices, authorities, NGOs, foundations, and other partners in the nature and environmental sector
- Supporting the department management with strategic and conceptual tasks
Your profile:
- Completed university degree, ideally in environmental sciences, forestry, geography, sustainability, or a comparable field
- Experience in funding management as well as in leading or accompanying complex, interdisciplinary projects
- Familiarity with ecological and/or environmental topics, biodiversity, and sustainability, preferably related to the city and region of Basel
- Strong conceptual skills as well as a structured and independent working style
- Communication and assertiveness skills as well as a confident manner with different stakeholders
- Understanding of how successful projects in the field of nature can be implemented in the context of politics, authorities, NGOs, and foundations
