• Personnel, professional and organisational management of the Enforcement Measures Department 2 with an interdisciplinary team of approx. 6 employees with diverse backgrounds
• Ensuring a professional, effective and legally compliant implementation of outpatient and inpatient measures
• Further development of structures, processes and quality management as well as harmonisation of working methods
• Close cooperation with the legal department, internal specialist units and external partners
• Active participation in the management of the Probation and Enforcement Services as well as in projects, specialist and working groups
• Representation of the department in complex professional situations, if necessary also before courts

This is what you bring

• A bachelor’s degree in social work, law or a related field, such as psychology or criminology
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable environment as well as proven experience in personnel management of qualified specialist staff
• A clear understanding of leadership and the ability to lead employees confidently, appreciatively and reliably even in demanding situations
• Decisiveness, assertiveness and the ability to weigh different interests, set priorities and take responsibility

The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) are one of eight main departments of JuWe. They are responsible for the regulation and management of the enforcement of custodial sentences and court-ordered measures as well as for probation assistance and the implementation of learning programmes. With around 180 employees, they thus make an important contribution to crime prevention and social integration.

We, as employees of the Probation and Enforcement Services, work interdisciplinarily, professionally and with commitment to accompany the implementation of sanctions and measures and support the affected persons on their way back to a responsible life.

In the midst of life: The Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich covers a diverse range of tasks. It ranges from criminal prosecution, correctional services and victim support to municipalities and statistics, as well as cultural promotion, equality and integration. Thus, the Directorate contributes to the functioning of the canton in important areas.
