The AR Hospital Network
The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the Finance Department, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement a clinic manager with a workload of 80-100%
Your tasks
- Resource and capacity planning: Responsibility for personnel deployment planning (duty rosters, holidays, rotations) of the medical service in compliance with labour laws
- Process optimisation: Analysis and improvement of patient pathways (e.g. surgery planning, outpatient clinic organisation, bed management)
- Operational budget responsibility: Management of the clinic budget in daily operations (cost control for material orders, approval of training, etc.) in consultation with the chief physician.
- HR and interface management: Support of recruitment processes (assistant and senior physicians), onboarding of new employees and acting as the primary contact for support areas (HR, IT, facility management)
- Project management: Leading internal clinic projects (e.g. relocation of a ward, introduction of a new HIS module)
Your profile
- Completed studies in health economics, business administration or a comparable field or several years of professional experience in hospital or clinic management
- Sound understanding of clinical core processes as well as operational procedures in the hospital
- Experience in process management, organisational development and project leadership
- Strong organisational skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented working style
- High social competence, communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
