About the job
IT Supporter 80 - 100%The Kantonsschule Zimmerberg in Au ZH was newly opened in August 2020. In its upcoming seventh year of operation, it is expected to have 25 classes with a total of around 600 pupils. It offers a long and a short gymnasium with five Matura profiles (classical languages, modern languages, mathematical-scientific, economic-legal, as well as philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). In the young, manageable Kantonsschule, personal contact and the individual are at the centre.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement to complement the team with a committed, open and communicative personality who works responsibly, helpfully and independently.
Your tasks
You help to ensure the smooth operation of the IT services and ensure that the IT concerns of pupils, teachers and staff in administration and operations are implemented promptly and according to needs. In addition, you support the Head of IT in projects. You manage the approximately 200 school-owned Apple devices (iMacs, MacBooks and iPads) and look after the infrastructure in the classrooms (projectors, visualisers). Since pupils in the higher classes work with their own devices (BYOD), you also provide support for Windows devices. We use Microsoft software and the applications of the Adobe CC Suite in lessons.
Your profile
We expect a personality with a high IT affinity and/or a completed training as an IT specialist EFZ in business informatics or an equivalent qualification. Several years of professional experience, ideally in an educational institution, is an advantage. You have broad know-how as a supporter for Apple hardware and software and are also proficient in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Knowledge in Mobile Device Management and Office 365 complete your profile. The broad range of tasks and the daily interaction with pupils and teachers in a lively environment require a high degree of flexibility and personal responsibility.
