Union representative in field service in industry and watchmaking 80%-100%

What you will do

You are at the pulse of events and in contact with people of diverse backgrounds. With dynamism and persuasiveness, you win numerous new members for Unia - in direct contact as well as by phone. Together with the members, you advocate for better working conditions in their companies or throughout the entire industry. You work with personnel commissions, build groups to strengthen workplace participation, conduct surveys, mobilize for employee concerns, and collect signatures for petitions and initiatives. With your commitment, you give employees a strong voice and make an important contribution to more social justice in Switzerland.

What you bring

• Completed vocational training or studies
• Strong skills in targeted communication and building strategic networks 
• Convincing appearance in member recruitment and ideally experience in acquisition
• Outgoing personality and high intercultural competence 
• Strong identification with the values of the Unia trade union 
• Goal-oriented, structured, and conceptual thinking and working
• Teamwork skills as well as implementation and result orientation
• Commitment, resilience, and curiosity for new things 
• Fluent German or French skills and a good knowledge of the other language; additional knowledge of migration languages is a plus
• Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work weekends and evenings
• IT user skills, driving license category B
