Structural Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 115,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a structural engineer for the project management and structural planning of demanding building projects. You will work on projects across all planning phases and combine static-structural design with practical detailed and execution planning. In addition to calculations and dimensioning, you will increasingly take responsibility for internal and external planning coordination as well as overseeing the execution. The project environment includes larger and complex buildings with demanding structural, civil engineering and interface topics.
Responsibilities:
Taking on project management or junior project management for demanding structural projects in building construction
Handling structural planning across all SIA project phases from concept development to realisation
Developing structural concepts and static-structural solutions for various buildings
Performing static calculations, dimensioning and verifications for structures and components
Preparing technical reports, calculation documentation and decision bases
Handling and supporting detailed and execution planning in close collaboration with construction and drafting
Conducting internal and external planning coordination with architecture, building services and other specialist planners
Coordinating interfaces with civil engineering, specialised civil engineering, foundations and excavation pits
Checking execution and working drawings as well as providing technical support during construction
Carrying out site inspections and reinforcement approvals and resolving technical issues during realisation
Preparing cost estimates, tender documents and specifications
Using CUBUS and/or AXIS for static calculations and dimensioning
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a structural engineer ETH/FH/TU or equivalent university degree
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in structural planning, ideally in Swiss building construction
Solid knowledge in structural analysis, structural concept and constructive civil engineering
Experience in design and execution planning of structures made of reinforced concrete, steel and other common construction types
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss structural standards
Proficient use of CUBUS and/or AXIS as well as common technical applications
Good German language skills spoken and written
